What grades do you teach?

We work with students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Groups are organized by level and goals, not only by grade.

Is my child "advanced enough" for competition coaching?

If your child enjoys puzzles and is curious about harder problems, they're ready to start. We'll find the right level together, and many of our competitors started as beginners.

Do you use Beast Academy or Art of Problem Solving books?

Yes. We support students working through both Beast Academy and AoPS books, and we use problems in that style throughout our classes.

Which competitions do you prepare students for?

MATHCOUNTS, AMC 8 and AMC 10, and Math Kangaroo. Ask us about other contests too.

Are classes online or in person?

All classes are held online over Zoom. Students need a charged laptop or iPad, a math journal, a pencil and an eraser.

How big are the groups?

Group sizes vary, but a class always has at least 4 students. Students can also ask questions in the 10 minutes after each class.

How much do classes cost?

Fees for group classes depend on the grade or level and the number of students in the group. See the registration form for details, or ask us. Payment is by cash or Zelle to mathrangersllc@gmail.com.

Do you offer one-on-one classes?

Not for new students. We offer one-on-one sessions only to students we already teach, when we feel there is a need.

What if my child misses a class?

Give us a week's notice for a planned absence, or let us know by 8:30 am if your child is sick, and we'll share the class recording. In general there are no make-up classes. See the attendance policy.

Is there homework?

Yes, every week on Google Classroom, with answer keys. Students check their own work and show all their steps. See the homework policy.

How do I sign up?

Fill in the sign-up form. We'll reach out to confirm a placement and schedule.
